YES

Resolves YES if stricter work requirements for SNAP (aka food stamps) or Medicaid are passed into federal law together with or within 2 months of passage into law of an increase or suspension of the US debt ceiling. Otherwise NO. If no debt ceiling increase or suspension is passed into law in 2023, resolves NO.

Context: Democratic and Republican leaders today issued opposing statements declaring work requirements nonnegotiable (Republicans demanding they are included in any debt ceiling package, Democrats demanding that they aren't):

Looks like Medicaid no, SNAP yes is a potential outcome. I still don't qualify for SNAP, but at least I get to keep my health care...?

(I hate this country.)

@evergreenemily I did in fact get to keep my health care.

I hope not. I already wasn't able to get SNAP because of how few hours my job gives me, and I would very likely lose my health insurance if the Republican plan is passed. I would get insurance again in September, but considering that my ADHD medication would cost $300 per month without insurance, I literally can't afford to wait that long.
