In general, yes. If the market has complicated resolution criteria, I'll try to keep the title short and accept that it'll be a little inaccurate.

YES - I optimize my market title for readability at a glance, which I think is important regardless, and also is good for quick bets. There are some details that can't be conveyed in the title but at least it should be a reasonable summary.

I'm curious - what sorts of questions do people create that do not optimize for this?

The main example that I see is "Will X happen?" where you have to open the market details to see what the date cutoff is, or "Will X happen by close?" which you need to open up the market to see what the close date is. I think both of those are just bad, the title should include the date if the date is likely to be relevant. This is important for readability in general.

@jack Yeah I think the norm of putting the date in the title is pretty useful, so a good one! I know people who’ve lost money by not knowing the by when date
