One of the odd things you come to realize when studying biology is that human are immensely big, kaiju-sized. There are millions of species smaller than us by orders of mag, and only a tiny handful of species of the same size. Class after class where nothing even comes close to a human size. We jut tend to disproportionally focus on the cool big creatures and forget everything else.

I could outmaneuver the bear and hit it square in the jaw, and lift the blue whale and throw it into the grand canyon, if it really came down to it
