This market is to estimate how many people will be laid off by Microsoft in this upcoming round of cutting down workforce, starting tomorrow.

Market closes at the end of this quarter (negotiable) because likely there'll be a good estimate by reputable news sources (and because they prolly wanna do this before next earnings report is released).

Marking the market multiple choice instead of numeric because the numbers will likely be fuzzed and I just want to make it easy to resolve.

Microsoft to Lay Off 10,000 Workers as It Looks to Trim Costs

The job cuts, which amount to less than 5 percent of the company’s work force, are its largest in roughly eight years.

It's possible that Microsoft will layoff more 2,000 more in a second cut, but that seems unlikely since layoffs are demoralizing and it's usually considered better to do them all at once. It'd be different if they were a startup in a tight position, but Microsoft is a big company that can certainly plan ahead for the rest of the quarter.
