@PratikChougule and I are drafting a proposal to receive funding for the Forecasting Meetup Network* pilot program in Washington, DC as part of Manifund's EA Community Choice funding round. Funding is expected to be provided within just a few weeks, by September 1st.

The vision for the Forecasting Meetup Network is that it would organize local meetups of forecasters, gamblers, and anyone else interested in predicting the future and improving humanity’s ability to predict the future.

The $2,000* in funding requested would be to cover costs for a pilot program of 4 forecasting meetups from September - December 2024.
