Many elementary and middle schools have moved to using a video for admissions rather than an essay or other writing prompt because students can use Chat GPT to write for them. Will any top 50 US university also switch to using a video format before 2025?
Only resolves YES if the video is required instead of the essay, not if there are two options
Also I will be looking at the top 50 list at time of resolution

Looking at this from an incentives angle, top universities care way more about reputation and accreditation than efficiency or student convenience, which makes radical changes pretty unlikely. Faculty already complain that students rely too much on AI, tutoring centers and ghostwriting services, and the fact that sites like those in Masterpapers Reviews exist just reinforces the perception that external help is a threat to academic standards rather than something to integrate. So if anything, I’d expect more layered assessments (projects, presentations, reflections, timed exams) designed to make outsourcing harder, not a formal replacement of existing structures; the bureaucracy, unions and committees involved would drag this out for years.
