Beijing's air quality has steadily improved since the "airpocalypse" of 2013-2014.

The US EPA measures hourly air quality in US embassies and consulates, publishing the data in spreadsheets on AirNow. AirNow uses the US Air Quality Index, which rates air on a 500-point scale. A rating of 50 or less is considerd "good."

This question resolves by downloading the PM2.5 data reported on AirNow for the US embassy in Beijing for 2024 and averaging all AQI ratings in excel. If the average is 50.0 or less, this question resloves YES.

For reference, the average AQI for Beijing for 2023 from 1 Jan to 1 Sep (YTD data) when I downloaded and averaged it was 91.6 (filtering out missing and invalid data).

It looks like they give the AQI as -999 for missing or invalid data, I assume you'll filter those out?

@Frogswap Oh thanks, that's a good catch. Yes, will filter those out, and update the description since it pushes the referenced YTD average up a bit.
