someone posted a script at some point that queried the underlying api to see how much mana someone has purchased, if that's still functional at the end of the year, and doesn't give false positives, we can use that as verification

it remains to be seen whether my desire to never spend money on microtransactions rivals my desire for free thriftbooks credits

I just need to find the correct amount of virtue to outweigh the obvious vice of microtransactions.

@brubsby tell me more about this thriftbooks thing, sounds interesting. I read a lot and if this has anything to do with getting books for cheap, I'm probably down for it.
