@prismatic hahahaha sorry i think your profit curve is too smooth! most winners take wild risks. you will probs stay in just not win
@brod I thought the same, but they are already up 13k in 3 days, and doing it smoothly. That's on track to do it their usual way and, since it's clear that now they're even more motivated, I think they also might be open to the possibility of doing a coinflip near the end.
@Mochi LOL! These corrections keep haunting me.
This time I didn't know it was unranked, but I used "coin flip" as a metonymy to mean any market with similar luck characteristics that can resolve quickly.
@prismatic If you manage to go from bronze to winning Masters in the least ammount of time possible, that would be legendary
@adonisds it’s extremely difficult to win masters without either capital or time. It’s better now with high leverage but you still see many top traders running out of balance for extra profits. And unless you are a conviction based trader betting large on certain short term markets, the best way to win is to spend tons of time hunting down every market and squeeze alpha other people are missing out on. The more markets you trade the more positions you need to monitor, especially if you are copying Polymarket odds. Eventually you realize that you ve been trading your sanity this whole time.
@Mochi It's the same for diamond and platinum promotion zones. You really need to put all your mana and leverage it times over, especially for me, because I don't take risks that much and I bet YES at 90% or above or NO at 10% or below. So it's difficult to make a lot of profits.
@Mochi (Based on my observations this month) I don't think this is true at all. I participated as I normally do (or honestly even less active), and I had my best month ever. It's very possible to not copytrade Polymarket odds, and I think I would have a very good chance of winning in the future if bot trades were actually classified in their correct league.
@Cactus No? It's pretty well known that Mochi bot trades on their main account. We had a discussion about this on the Discord. I think it's fair game until rules change tho (I would j prefer the rules be changed so its not bot vs humans lol)
@prismatic seems everyone was okay with me bot trading on sports an stuff, not sure why this season people are annoyed when I deploy dago strat on mochi when arguably ole sports trading would have won the league this season as I didn’t deploy dago strat until later in the season.
@Mochi yeah personally, I think bot trading on sports should go into its own bot on its own account on its own league. I think people were a little more lenient about it tho because it was sectioned off to its own part of the site, and usually sports markets (even outside of Manifold) are basically HFT at this point. Regarding the non-sports market, I really think there should be some rule changes on this. Nobody has a problem with it happening, and as Eliza pointed out, it is actually a good thing for correcting odds, but Dagonet was also classified as a bot in its own league.
@prismatic interesting that Mochi's alt accounts @Rice and @Gluten are not classified as bots either, even though they clearly say it's a bot.
@100Anonymous hmm yeah, no pull requests to classify them either https://github.com/manifoldmarkets/manifold/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aopen+bot
@100Anonymous bot classification requires submitting a PR at the moment. But so far it has been at the request of the user, not something that manifold staff or mods do on behalf of a user.
For others clarity, it's a Manifold Markets internal rating, not a Golf or Tennis thing.
