This prediction market resolves based on the number of tweets posted in 2023 by Janusz Piechociński (on Twitter account: @Piechocinski) with mushroom-related words used in a mushroom-picking, farming, and similar contexts.
The outcome will be determined based on data from a reliable source such as Twitter's search function, API and/or archived scrapes of Janusz Piechociński's tweets. The tweet list will be reviewed manually for quality assurance (not to include e.g. „ul. Grzybowska”). Both the lists of refined query terms and the resulting tweet list will be published before the final decision. Qualifying but overlooked tweets will be added on requests in comments.
If for any reason evaluation is impossible, the market will resolve N/A.
For example, using a draft list of included terms:
"grzyb", "borowik", "maślak", "boczniak", "kani", "koźlarz", "rydz", "smardz", "kurka", "prawdziwek",
and a draft list of excluded terms:
"Grzybowsk", "Henryk Kania", "Rydzewska", "Kaniak", "Adam Grzyb", "Grzybowo ul", "GrzybAndrzej", "Andrzej Grzyb", "Kanin", "kurka z gazem", "w Rydze",
with first-letter case insensitivity, on a current (Jan 2023) snscrape of the account, results for previous years in:
2022: 86
2021: 106
2020: 110
2019: 123
2018: 98
2017: 79
Since this is just a proof of concept, do not rely fully on these numbers.
@EvanDaniel Using twitter tools, I only found 3 for 2023 and 6 from 2022, so twitter tools is not scraping every tweet. Also its Polish so you have to translate the tweets which makes it more complicated I believe.
I do not wish to download someone elses software even if I ran it in a Sandbox.
Also, we don't know if the creators snscrape usage was using Twitter API which has changed since the market was made
I think we should be able to N/A this unless someone wants to try the snscrape in the description.
@SirCryptomind Seems fine. Fits right in with:
If for any reason evaluation is impossible, the market will resolve N/A.
