This market is about whether Vladimir Putin, the current President of Russia, will visit the United States in 2026. A visit to any U.S. state or Washington, D.C. will count. However, a visit to a U.S. embassy in another country will not count.

Resolving Rules

This question will be resolved YES shortly after the visit occurs, or it will be resolved NO at the beginning of 2027 if no such visit occurs.

Timezone of This Market

The Eastern Time Zone (ET) (timezone of Washington, D.C.) will be used to determine the year 2026.

Additional Details

There is a theory that Putin has used body doubles. Since I have no way to verify whether it was the real person or a double, I will rely solely on official sources. If the White House and/or the Kremlin officially state that Putin was in the United States in 2026, the market will be resolved as YES.
