Wind generation has historically been trending upwards in the UK, but wind power generation is quite variable seasonally. Wind power records tend to coincide with storms.
The next wind power record will be when the ESO announces a generation greater than 21.8 GW for a 30 minute period.
At the start of each month I will resolve NO to the previous month, until a new record is announced - then all answers will resolve to YES.
Looked like it might have been today, very windy! But current data only shows 20.5 GW as the max so still a bit short - although there was curtailment due to negative prices so if it was a higher demand weekday probably would have been a new record. Once I get around to it I'll put up a dashboard showing the generation record.
