Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Washington Initiative Measure No. 645 (IP26-645) is approved by voters in the November 3, 2026 general election.

The primary resolution source will be the official certified election results published by the Washington Secretary of State.

Background

Initiative 645 qualified for the November 3, 2026 ballot as an Initiative to the People. The measure seeks to repeal the 9.9% tax on individual and household income exceeding $1 million, which was established by the Washington State Legislature during the 2026 legislative session under Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 6346. Additionally, Initiative 645 would prohibit the state and local governments from levying taxes on personal income or taxes measured by individual income.
