I previously also thought that the other iPads could get the M3, but the Air just got the M2, and the “iPad“ just is on the iPhone chip cycle. Same with the iPad Mini. So it seems quite unlikely.

(Why would they go through the effort of updating the Air again this year with the M3, when they have a perfectly fine iPad-adaptable M4 chip they can upgrade it to in 12-24 months?)

(“iPad“ is on A14, Mini is on A15. So they'll get the A16 in all likelihood, maybe an M2. M3 seems near impossible to me.)
