I want to emphasize "as it exists today" - the search product of today, not what it morphs or evolves into, if it does.
I could see a more privacy oriented engine like DuckDuckGo taking more of the market share. Either that or they lose US v. Google.
@WieDan absolutely. The verbatim results going away sucked the most for me. Sure, their market share has gone from 70 something % to 92% in the last decade but not sure how sustainable it is. I felt so frustrated today having to jump so many hoops to find basic relevant info about a - what should've been easy to find- topic
@WieDan imo Google has become more of a place people go to find information, which is why Google maximises relevance
Whereas
I find usefulness of Google (Or other engines) in finding a hub of links on a given thing.
