Resolves YES if Trump signs 100 or more executive orders on January 20th.

For reference, in 2017, Trump only signed a single executive order. However, some rumors claim that he will sign 200+ (!!!) executive orders on his first day.

Reminder executive orders and actions are not the same...

Are executive orders counted by number of signatures? Does an omnibus order touching 100 things count as 1, or as 100?

As per the description, I will resolve based on how executive orders are counted here. Trump had 220 in his first term.

bought Ṁ200 YES

Pardons also count as executive orders, right?

bought Ṁ50 NO

@TimothyJohnson5c16 I will resolve following the official source in the description. Trump had 220 such orders during his first term according to thag source

@Ziddletwix to clarify, if their addition to that website is slow I can resolve without the linked source if it’s obvious, but even then I would use that official source to determine what’s defined as an executive order

@Ziddletwix Public Inspection: Executive orders are usually made available for public inspection the business day before they are published in the Federal Register. This means there's at least a one-day delay after the document is received by the OFR.

  • Publication: Typically, there is a delay of several days between the signing of the document by the President and its publication in the Federal Register. This can range from a few days to a week, but specifics can vary.

  • Immediate Posting: executive orders are often posted on the White House website as soon as they are signed, which can reduce the time before the public is aware of the order, although the official record in the Federal Register might still follow the process described above.
