I think this is NO—searched around a while, can't find any indication that casey newton is dating an AI (and given that he writes extensively about AI, would be hard to miss)
This question was featured on the recent episode. Following through with this would be a good story, so I'm betting on YES, although I'm curious how serious his attempt at "dating an A.I." has to be. After all, who are are we to say how Casey really feels? In my opinion, any attempt at dating an A.I. should count, even if it appears to be for "testing", or for "research", unless he specifically says it doesn't. What do you guys think?
How will this market resolve if, after a few too many drinks Casey Newton has a spicy one-night-stand with an AI but in the morning Casey says that it was a "mistake" and something that "will never happen again" but somehow the AI gets Casey's phone number and starts calling at all hours which Casey ignores until one day he gets a call during his goddaughter's quinceañera which causes him to grab the phone and shout angrily into the receiver that he "will never love you!" before realizing that it was actually Kevin calling and he tries to explain but Kevin's not having it and by the end of the month they've decided to put Hard Fork on an "indefinite hiatus" so that they can both "pursue new opportunities?"
