Surprised there wasn't a market on this so here we go.

Number is weeks since the opening of this question. I end a week on Saturday 11:59 PM CST. If they change to a paid scheme or have it down for longer than 24 hours (goes down for upgrades sometimes so 24 hours need to pass to consider the beta closed) with no indication of trying to bring it back up I will then resolve the market. If this happens between Jan 1st and 7th will resolve as 1 for example.

Upgrades to ChatGPT do not resolve the market. However, the closing of ChatGPT and the opening of beta for GPT4 would.

Marked out to a year but don't expect it to last that long.

Seems straightforward resolution criteria however clarifications welcome in comments and will update description accordingly.

@traders How should this resolve? Any proof?

@WarlockTiny Can you resolve this market? Thanks!

@WarlockTiny Can you please resolve?

"That was quick! OpenAI has reportedly started rolling out a premium version of its viral ChatGPT," he wrote.

"While [the] free version is still available, for $42/month, you will get expanded capabilities like less finicky availability, faster response speeds, and priority access to new features."

@RealityQuotient I see this as both an update towards a paid model soon but also a future where they keep the free version in perpetuity.

predicted LOWER

@WarlockTiny Based on the previous answer, I thought freemium (a free + a paid version with extra benefits) was to be considered a switch to a paid model.

@RealityQuotient Key component being a cut off after a certain amount usage

W.R.T. Free, what if they switch to a freemium version, where you get cut off after a certain amount of usage?

@RealityQuotient Good question, gut reaction is to consider that a switch to paid model.

I’ve been thinking more about the units I chose for this question, maybe as days would have been better. What would people prefer for future questions?
