A very similar release happened with "Dota 2" years ago.

"Open beta testing for Dota 2 Reborn started on June 17, 2015. Dota 2 Reborn was released with the September 09, 2015 Patch Update 2."

If similar timeframes are around the current source 2 open beta releasing either late this month or so, Then it stands to reason that the actual release would not be until 2024 to fulfill
