The Social Research Foundation released a poll on support for the ruling ANC following the court decision that former President Jacob Zuma could stand as a candidate for the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, or MKP. According to the SRF, the MKP is now showing 13% support which has contributed to a reduction in ANC support, which it now puts at 37%. On the other hand the SRF is known to be a strong critic of the ANC (and the MKP), suggesting the poll may to some extent be wishful thinking, although the SRP is also know for its methodological rigour. What do you think?
