Looks like I'm still going to be mortal going into the new year.

I am hopeful, but fearing that I've hit a 20/80 effort with the last bureacracy. Started making progress on that, because I do genuinely want to avoid avoidable True Death and all, but e.g. law of continued failure on this:

Status update: I am now a lifetime member of the Cryonics Institute. No preservation contract has been arranged yet.

According to this 2012 thread from Scott https://web.archive.org/web/20140706140715/http://squid314.livejournal.com/349656.html , ~16% of veteran LessWrongers had signed up, going up to ~50% of people who had actually done so. For your sake, this is a bet I hope to lose!
