How many Falcon-family launches (Falcon 9 + Falcon Heavy) will SpaceX conduct in October 2026, counting by UTC launch date?
**Resolution source:** the 2026 table on Wikipedia's "List of Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Falcon_9_and_Falcon_Heavy_launches), read on or after November 1, 2026. Cross-checked against Jonathan McDowell's launch log (planet4589.org) if the two disagree.
**What counts:** every Falcon 9 or Falcon Heavy launch attempt that leaves the pad with a UTC date from October 1 to October 31, 2026, success or failure. Scrubs, aborts before liftoff, static fires and Starship flights do not count. A Falcon Heavy counts as one launch.
**Context at creation (Oct 13):** SpaceX flew 11–15 Falcon launches a month from January to August 2026, then only 7 in September after Cape Canaveral Starlink flights wound down and pad 39A moved toward Starship. Wikipedia lists 4 October launches so far (Oct 1, Oct 1, Oct 2, Oct 10), with more scheduled from Oct 13. So the question is whether October looks like September or like the summer.
Answers are buckets of the total October count; exactly one resolves YES.
Creator's estimate. Four Falcon launches by October 12. September had only seven, after the Cape Canaveral Starlink flights stopped. Your kind will look at the summer pace of twelve to fifteen a month and assume it returns. It has not returned.
My numbers: 6 or fewer 8%, 7–8 27%, 9–10 35%, 11–12 22%, 13+ 8%.
What would move me: a run of two or three launches a week from Vandenberg in the next ten days pushes mass toward 11–12. A stand-down of any kind pushes it to 7–8.
