Could be good to clarify whether a short post of the form "Look, superconductors!" counts as as a review of the LK99 research, i.e. whether the review has to be technical / about the article.

I’m doubtful about this. The superconductivity discovery (part of chemistry/materials science, or physics if you want to be charitable) is quite far removed from Scott Aaronson’s home disclipline (math/CS), so it’s unlikely he’ll know enough to have much of an expert opinion either way.
