NO

If they lose the mana due to bad bets, the question(s) they lost it on don't need to pertain to Manifest itself; it just needs to be concurrent. They must lose the mana during the event, but may quit the site within a few days afterwards. The quitting must be public (in a question's comments, on discord, etc.), result in account deletion, and last for at least a week.

Resolves YES if an unrelated party in the community notices it go down, otherwise NO after close.

Actually, would someone ragequitting from the Shelvacu market even count? Technically the description says it must happen during the event, and the resolution happened after, but it's definitely in the spirit of the market.

And what does it mean that the quitting has to be public? Does a salty comment, then radio silence count? Or do they have to say "I quit!"

@Shump to the first question: I agree, it's in the spirit of the market and is directly related to Manifest. indeed, I left a few extra days on this market's closing time in the expectation that such fallout might take a minute to surface.

to the second: undefined radio silence does not count. it needs to be clear and explicit quitting, though it doesn't need to involve any particular quote. saltiness on the discord, in comments, and elsewhere is a good baseline if followed by visible and verifiable action

Thanks. One more thing. I don't believe there is a way to actually delete your account. So would no activity count?

@Shump yeah no activity feels requisite. you can delete your account but it's an impermanent thing at the moment

@Shump and if it happens, I'll extend the close time for a week to see if the market criteria resolve fully, but the window for new instances of quitting will not be extended

Is Jonathan Ray going to do it? Guy's so salty he can kill snails just by touching them.
