i'm gonna create a market called "mod queue empty by end sept" with the same exact criteria as this one and i won't know how to resolve it so i'll ping mods, adding one to the mod queue...

my market can't resolve until this one does... meaning the mod queue won't possibly be empty until this market resolves... meaning that this market cannot possibly resolve NO...

mwahahahahaha

@bobalobascrob Your market couldn't resolve until this one does but in the resolution criterion it is if "at any point the queue hits zero" and not strictly measured by the end of the month.

@HumanClanker ahh good point… but i can set my market close to today and it will be unresolvable until this one and thus stay in the queue

@bobalobascrob but then why would you tag mods on a question they can’t resolve yet. If you were keeping your market purely predictive then you wouldn’t tag them until you knew if it could be resolved. Which is after this markets resolution date.

@bobalobascrob we can always go "well this one is solved" and clear the ping without actually applying a resolution. it's a fun loophole you could try but anyone clearing the queue could still avoid the paradox without issue.

@bobalobascrob If I may suggest another attack vector...

no holders are highly incentivized to create loads of markets with ambiguous resolutions, invite bots to create spam posts and whatnot

this is not a moral market in its own regard

@bobalobascrob they don't even need to go to those lengths. just open your profile's trades screen, sort by closed, and proceed to make a case / provide a resolution source on each one

It's growing like crazy. Now at 90 tickets, including multiple needs admin. I haven't had time or focus to aid the war effort, but if I manage to sit down I bet I could clear most-but-not-all of it quickly. Not clear if that will happen. Godspeed to the newbie.

@Stralor I can kind of keep up with the rate that they trickle in. My style is to give in depth and thoughtful attention to each ticket. I want to be comfortable with putting my signature on these actions at the end of the day.

I don't have the speed racer mentality on these yet.

@Quroe yeah some require that delicate touch, like the contentious resolutions. but I definitely tend to go speed racer, esp when the queue is this big. if I make a rare mistake, folks let me know quick.

@Quroe you'll learn soon enough. New Year Resolutions isn't far away now. it's like 24h + stragglers of constant flooding the queue. we often make it a party in voip or a stream onsite like Genzy did last year. no nuance only speed when you have several hundred or more to clear in a day

@Stralor some mods don't even tackle the queue and just go hunting other sources like specific creators, closed markets in a topic or from before a certain date, etc.
