First week will be used to write a clear resolution criteria. Suggestions are welcome.
I am considering choosing a panel of trusted people this platform who get to judge available evidence by then and vote on a resolution.
I guess being able to simulate life to the smallest detail would be a very convincing argument that we are indeed living in a (digital) simulation.

I disagree. That would only prove that life is simulable.
The fact that I can play NES games on an emulator does not prove that all NES gameplay footage is emulated.
@Retr0id if you can simulate life with all its detail to a level that is not distinguishable from reality then I would argue that with a very high certainty it is indeed a digital simulation especially if the simulated beings also create another simulation that creates another simulation etc.
@Soli For defining it, the interesting aspect of the simulation argument is claiming that intelligent design is true in a literal sense, i.e. that our universe was created intentionally by intelligent beings for some motive of their own. To me, that's the essential aspect of calling our universe a "simulation".
