Resolution criteria

This market resolves YES if Gregory Bovino is no longer employed by the U.S. Border Patrol by December 31, 2026. This includes resignation, termination, retirement, or any other form of separation from the agency. Resolution will be verified through official Department of Homeland Security announcements, Border Patrol statements, or credible news reporting from major outlets.

Considerations

Bovino's heavy-handed tactics, including immigration sweeps in parking lots and smashing car windows, had fueled consternation among some in the Trump administration, including within his own agency. During a civil lawsuit, Judge Sara Ellis described Bovino as "not credible," noting he "appeared evasive over the three days of his deposition, either providing 'cute' responses… or outright lying."
