Will the city of Miami hold Mayoral elections in 2025?
City commissioners voted in Late June 2025 to postpone elections to 2026, extending the terms of incumbents by one year, including the term-limited mayor. If elections for mayor are held in 2025 despite this vote (due to the vote to extend terms being ruled illegal, or otherwise), this market resolves YES.
Update 2025-11-08 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Creator is considering waiting to resolve YES until after runoffs on December 9, rather than resolving immediately when elections begin. Final decision pending.

I'm not sure whether the election is complete. I'm leaning towards saying not yet, and waiting to resolve this YES until after the runoffs on December 9. Comments?
UPDATE: Okay, since absolutely no one is holding a NO, I don't expect opposition to resolving this YES on the basis of there having been AN election, which could, in principle, have decided the mayor.
