Toronto recently refused to allow sixplexes everywhere, thus going against what it previously agreed to in order to receive Housing Accelerator Funds (HAF) from the Federal government. Will they change their mind and allow sixplexes everywhere? If sixplexes are allowed, even with the bedroom limit in place, I will resolve this to YES.
Some political drama to take into account
The federal government has previously threatened to withhold HAF funds from uncooperative cities and may intervene here https://winnipegsun.com/opinion/columnists/klein-winnipeg-city-council-caves-after-last-minute-federal-intimidation-e-mail
Councillors seem pretty convinced they're getting the HAF money no matter what https://youtu.be/shwnt7GXcss?t=26685 https://www.thestar.com/real-estate/not-just-a-housing-crisis-downtown-how-torontos-sixplex-vote-pushed-more-density-in-the/article_9d78e360-e5b2-4d9d-bdce-4118c4e700c7.html
The HAF money is roughly $10 per citizen, so not that much in the grand scheme of things
