The 3-camera composition was quite iconic, I don't know if Apple would be willing to add another anonymous-looking phoneback to the market.
At the same time, I don't think they'd go over and add 5 of them either.
@ShadowyZephyr I agree it should include the Pro Max. However there is only 1 time where the bigger phone size has a different camera count than the regular phone size, this was on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. All other iPhone of the same generation has the same camera count regardless of size, if I recall correctly.
@ShadowyZephyr In 15 Pro Max, I believe we will see a "Periscopic Camera" that will allow people to zoom in 5-6x (i.e. equivalent focal length of 100mm+). I think the number of cameras will still be 3 in total. We shall see.
@esusatyo I agree, spirit of the question is the # of cameras on the top-of-the-line. i.e. the most expensive option.
@ShadowyZephyr I don’t know where you guys are getting your leaks from, but everything I saw was 3 cameras.
@Gen the newer ones seem to point towards 3, but there is also an iPhone 15 Ultra leak in the mix… now if the most expensive option is called the Ultra, that could be the one with 4 cameras
