Four races remain, and the points gap between Sergio Pérez and Lewis Hamilton is 19 points. The upcoming races are in Mexico, Sao Paulo, Las Vegas, and Yas Marina. Given this scenario, it seems challenging for Checo to secure a win. Despite Max Verstappen already clinching the championship, Red Bull should focus on supporting Pérez. However, the media pressure suggesting that Red Bull might replace Checo with Daniel Ricciardo if he doesn't secure the second position in the championship could weigh on the Mexican driver. Nevertheless, last year, Sergio Pérez finished second in Mexico, and if he repeats that feat, he could gain a 22-point lead over Hamilton (assuming Lewis finishes third). In Sao Paulo, Checo's track record isn't as strong, which could complicate matters, but then comes Las Vegas, where experience could be the key, and I believe Lewis might have the edge. Between Brazil and Las Vegas, Lewis could surpass Checo, and everything would come down to Yas Marina. Although Lewis didn't have a strong race in Abu Dhabi last year, Checo did. However, Lewis secured the second position in 2021 and even won the race in 2019.

With how Red Bull just gave him an ultimatum for the end of the season to finish second in the WDC (Harrington, 2023), I think the pressure will get to him and lower his mental belief in himself to maintain his place - especially with how he's been performing the last few races (F1, 2023).

Additionally, Lewis has had a steady run of the year (not counting last week when DNF in Qatar), not to mention how the car has become dependable in the second half of the year. Followed by many predictions that Lewis has a high chance of finishing second instead of Checo (Jogia, 2023).

@MaharaniPutri With both drivers and constructors championship locked up the focus will be on him to lock in #2. He has arguably the best car ever and a healthy gap with only 5? races left. I think he's toast at Red Bull regardless.
