Sources for verification for shutdown ending (date of shutdown ending = date government reopens):
Official U.S. government websites (e.g., Congress.gov, whitehouse.gov).
Major news outlets (AP, Reuters, NYT, etc.) confirming “government reopens.”
Guidelines on reopening if ceasefire ending:
Either Israel or Hamas (or another major faction in Gaza) resumes sustained offensive military operations (e.g., airstrikes, rocket fire, or ground incursions), and
Credible international news outlets (AP, Reuters, BBC, Al Jazeera, etc.) describe the ceasefire as “broken,” “ended,” or “collapsed.”
Short, isolated incidents that both parties still call “violations” do not count unless they lead to sustained fighting or an official withdrawal from the ceasefire agreement.
