Resolves to the rider presented with the white jersey for Best Young Rider after Stage 21 of the Vuelta a Espana in Madrid. There are many teams with a talented young climber in the race, so it should be an interesting battle.
@Eliza ๐ he's on his own, but Roglic might not want the stage tomorrow so Lipowitz can rest more before the final. Skjelmose can crack or crash tomorrow, and 1 minute is not too much if (when?) Rodriguez has a bad TT. It's worth M$2 ๐
@egroj Rodriguez cheated by being in his 5th year racing WT races.
While slightly younger than Lipowitz, Skjelmose cheated by being in his 4th year racing WT races.
Lipowitz is the real winner, here in only his 2nd year doing the WT races.
I'm not even convinced INEOS needs to utilize their entire team to 'protect' the white jersey in many stages. They can probably go for the breakaways with other riders and let Carlos fend for himself. The main question here is whether Bora can will get Lipowitz into a break as they've tried several times, and what INEOS would do in that situation.
