Resolution criteria

  • Resolves YES if spot gold (XAU/USD) trades at or above $4,000.00 per troy ounce at any time before 00:00:00 UTC on 2025-10-31.

  • Primary source: Investing.com’s XAU/USD page — verification via the “Historical Data” daily High or the live chart showing ≥ 4000. https://www.investing.com/currencies/xau-usd

  • If Investing.com is unavailable or clearly erroneous at resolution time, a Reuters report explicitly stating spot gold reached ≥ $4,000 before the deadline will suffice. Examples of acceptable source style: Reuters market updates on spot gold (XAU=). (investing.com)

  • Futures (COMEX GC), ETFs, and the LBMA AM/PM fixes do not determine resolution; only spot XAU/USD in USD/oz. If sources conflict, Reuters spot coverage (XAU=) is the tiebreaker. Times are in UTC.

Background

  • Spot gold set fresh records into October 2025, with intraday highs reported up to ~$3,875 on Oct 1, 2025, and COMEX futures near ~$3,901 the same day. (reuters.com)

  • Earlier in 2025, the LBMA Gold Price PM also posted record levels (benchmark fix; different from intraday spot), with June highs noted by the World Gold Council. (gold.org)

Considerations

  • Vendor quotes for spot XAU/USD can differ slightly; this market uses the specified source(s) to avoid disputes. (investing.com)

  • “Before Oct 31, 2025” means any print up to 23:59:59 UTC on Oct 30, 2025; prints on or after 00:00:00 UTC Oct 31 do not count.

  • LBMA daily fixes may never show 4000 even if intraday spot crosses it; that is expected and not relevant to resolution. (lbma.org.uk)

- In the last 30 days Gold went up $295.32
- The threshold is less than $125
- The US Dollar is continuing to go down
- and there is a lot of fear in a market correction (and fleeing to things like gold)

I think it will hit 4000 because of these factors
