If Donald Trump ever serves as a figure that I personally consider to be a Pope, Antipope, Pseudopope, or Funko Pope, then this market resolves Yes.

For ambiguous cases, this must be a new role invented explicitly or obviously for Trump; it's not enough to point out that some evangelical church has previousy said they consider him a prophet. The role must have a title and Trump must either formally fulfill or verbally accept the title. Once accepted, the title need only have one obligation that Trump fulfills before I resolve Yes. It can be a special prayer meeting that he attends as Pope, a special hat he gets to wear, or any other symbolic gesture beyond the title itself.

Or, if Trump ever denounces the catholic church/current Pope while in Avignon, France, this market will imemediately resolve Yes. I will not bet in this market, but I will personally tell God what bets you people make.

  • Update 2025-05-04 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): * The creator confirms that a specific path to Yes is:

    • A title containing "Pope" is created for Trump.

    • Trump accepts the title.

    • Trump performs at least one activity linked to that title.

    • The creator clarifies that the first sentence of the description ("If Donald Trump ever serves as a figure that I personally consider to be a Pope, Antipope, Pseudopope, or Funko Pope...") allows for a broader interpretation.

    • A situation could resolve Yes if the creator finds it "very persuasive on its face" based on that first sentence, even if a title does not include the word "Pope" or meet all the specific criteria outlined for ambiguous cases (title, acceptance, obligation).

So do I understand right that to resolve Yes, someone has to create a title containing "Pope" give it to Trump, Trump has to accept it, and he has to perform at least one activity directly linked to that new title. Is that correct?

@SimoneRomeo That is a definitive Yes, but the first sentence of the description is broader if it’s a situation I find very persuasive on its face, even if it didn’t include the word “Pope”.
