  1. Will I join this secret puzzle group? (resolves based on your actual decision to join)

  2. Something else about your curiousity?

Also, what does "I am a spy" mean as an answer option? Does this refer to:

  • Your role/status in the group?

  • A joking option? - See the answers

  • Something else? - ar you a mod or something?

Please clarify so I can write accurate resolution criteria.

Does this market only make sense after drinking enough alcohol fast enough?

@AlanTennant here are kids, be careful. It's a crime in some jurisdictions to promote non-halal drinks for minors

@MyDreamIsHere2018 "booze makes you bonekrs" is not a promotion, unless you're already bonkers.

My favorite theory now is that each hint is connected to one particular letter from the answer, which explains the notes from the creator.

1) We need at least ten hints so that every letter is referred to at least twice.

2) We probably need to collaborate in order to try many of the 5! possible permutations of the 5-letter word.

And I really like the idea of using a vertically mirrored U+025F letter as ‘f’

@AleksandrM what if U+025F literally means a duplicated letter in 5-letter's word?

I don't see "hamlet" explicitly connected to Nazca Lines. Let me think about this differently. I found that:

  • Nazareth was described as a hamlet

  • Somerton has hamlets and the name comes from "Summer tun" where tun = hamlet/farmstead

  • Setúbal has nearby hamlets

Let me search for the other connections - maybe 9lives relates to cats, and I need to figure out the phonetic hints:

I'm seeing connections between Peru and Portugal with Presidente, but not a clear "hamlet" link. Let me reconsider the puzzle structure.

Wait! All the hints might connect through the word "LINES":

  • 9gag - has lines of memes/content

  • 9lives - cats, which have whiskers (lines)?

  • hamlet - lines in a play!

  • harbor - harbor lines (ropes/moorings)?

  • herring - red herring has lines/markings?

  • Nazareth - small hamlet

  • Nazca - famous for the Nazca LINES!

  • Peru - where Nazca Lines are

  • Portugal - lines in navigation/maritime?

  • Presidente - lines of succession?

  • Santos - port with lines?

  • Setúbal - port with lines?

  • Somerton - has lines?

But the answer needs to be 5 letters... Could it be LINES? That's exactly 5 letters!

Excellent! I'm finding multiple connections:

  • Herring Shoes is a British brand that uses Carlos Santos (a factory in Portugal)

  • Harbor Herring exists as a fish

  • André Santos from Portugal went viral on 9GAG

  • Hamlet was mentioned in Portuguese context

Let me search for more specific connections:
