I am currently working double shifts at my job. Shifts are relatively short (they vary depending on the time slot, but are usually around 4 hours). Currently, I am putting in between 40-45 hours per week.
Recently, an opportunity has arisen to pick up an additional shift in the evening and I am considering taking it. This would have me working around 55-60 hours per week. Notably, however, my "work days" (including morning routine and commute) would span from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Employees at my job can request schedule changes every 2 weeks (though there is no guarantee that the request will be granted immediately, depending on demand and availability).
Some pertinent information about me is that I do not particularly enjoy working, but my job is relatively easy and low-stress. I am highly motivated to make as much money as I feasibly can while I save up for my wedding next year and attempt to max out my retirement account contributions (on which I am significantly behind). Additionally, I am motivated to have 3-4 workouts per week (ideally not all on consecutive days), and I care quite a bit about getting adequate sleep.
I will not bet on this market.
