how will this resolve if he ultimately decides not to do it but doesn’t specifically say the reason, despite his mom publicly tweeting her stance against it?

Has anything similar to this/any involvement of his mom happened before?? edit: I was just missing his mom's tweet about it not happening, that was my confusion.
