This market resolves YES if Lynas Rare Earths' LAMP facility in Kuantan, Malaysia produced more than 3,500 tonnes of NdPr oxide in the January–March 2026 quarter, as reported in the company's ASX quarterly activities report.
What is NdPr oxide? A mixed neodymium-praseodymium oxide — the key input for NdFeB permanent magnets used in EV motors and wind turbines. Lynas (ASX:LYC) is one of only two significant rare earth producers outside China.
What quarter is measured? January–March 2026. Lynas reports quarterly production approximately 3–4 weeks after each quarter ends. This market settles June 30, 2026, giving well over a month after the Q1 2026 report is due for resolution.
Reference figures: Q1 2026 (Jul–Sep 2025) NdPr output was 2,003 t (strong). Q2 2026 (Oct–Dec 2025) was 1,404 t, impacted by a Kalgoorlie power outage. Full-year FY2025 was a record 6,558 t. Target run-rate is 10,500 tpa (2,625 t/quarter).
YES if: Lynas's Q3 FY2026 activities report shows NdPr oxide output ≥ 3,500 tonnes for January–March 2026
NO if: Output for January–March 2026 is below 3,500 tonnes, or LAMP is not operational

Background
Lynas LAMP (Kuantan, Malaysia) is the world's largest rare earth separation facility outside China. It processes mixed rare earth carbonate from the Mt Weld mine in Western Australia through cracking, leaching, and solvent extraction to produce separated rare earth oxides. NdPr oxide is the primary product by revenue (about 75% of total). FY2025 output was a record 6,558 t NdPr. H1 FY2026 was 3,407 t — Q1 was strong (2,003 t) but Q2 dropped to 1,404 t due to Kalgoorlie power outages.
Considerations
Kalgoorlie processing facility power reliability is a key operational risk
Mt Weld mine grade and feed quality affects separation yields
China export restrictions on heavy rare earths do not directly affect LAMP NdPr output
Lynas has a 4-year $96M Pentagon supply agreement providing stable demand
