A recent news story reports that Hasbro has been in talks to sell DnD to Tencent:

Hasbro has a lot of corporate debt to pay off and the recent success of Baldur's Gate 3 will probably help it get a good price for D&D.
On the other hand, Wizards of the Coast is Hasbro's most successful subdivision and although most of that money comes from MTG, I'm surprised that they would be willing to rock the boat.
A sale needs to be finalized to resolve this market as YES.
