NO

Resolution criteria:
- The sanctions only need to be announced and do not have to kick in yet.

- Must be by at least one country announcing.
- Reported in 2 major news sources.
- The announced sanction must not have been active at the time of Iran's missile strikes on Israel.
- The sanction must be specific. Not a general announcement of 'sanctions'.
- Sanctions must aim to have a significant effect (an example of 'not significant' would be travel/financial sanctions on specific Iranian individuals. An example of 'significant' would be a sanction that has monetary effects in the billions and hinders trade. Sanctions don't need to be limited to these examples and in a case of doubt, would be resolved by a poll.

@Arky I'm inclined to say that they are not significant based on the following reasoning:

Here is the quote from the article you posted:
"Washington targeted 16 people and two entities that produce engines for the drones.

The UK Foreign Office imposed a travel ban and asset freeze on seven individuals and six entities, including those involved in drone and missile programmes."

- As stated above, sanctions against individuals are considered 'non significant' in the criteria.
- It also states 'entities, including those involved in drone and missile programs'. Assuming those are a handful of individual companies, it is highly unlikely that the affects are in the billions, as I assume Iranian weapons companies previously didn't source components or sell to the west (which is prohibited already due to Iranian support for Russia https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2023/12/11/iran-council-sanctions-6-persons-and-5-entities-under-the-framework-for-restrictive-measures-in-view-of-iran-s-military-support-of-russia-s-war-of-aggression-against-ukraine/)
