The article must be authored or co-authored by Nectome staff and appear in a journal indexed by PubMed or Web of Science. The protocol must describe their procedure for human whole-brain or whole-body preservation, including chemical fixation, cryoprotectant perfusion, and storage methods.

Clarification: The protocol does not need to have been experimentally validated on humans in the published paper, merely that it describes the procedure that Nectome intends to use on humans.
