This market resolves YES if Nectome publishes a peer-reviewed journal article describing their human preservation protocol by December 31, 2028. The article must be authored or co-authored by Nectome staff and appear in a journal indexed by PubMed or Web of Science. The protocol must describe their procedure for human whole-brain or whole-body preservation, including chemical fixation, cryoprotectant perfusion, and storage methods.
Resolution sources: PubMed, Web of Science, or the journal's official website.
Clarification: The protocol does not need to have been experimentally validated on humans in the published paper, merely that it describes the procedure that Nectome intends to use on humans. Experimental validation using animal models (e.g., pigs) is sufficient, provided the paper presents the protocol as designed for or compatible with human use.
