This market will resolve to whichever political party or affiliation receives the third most raw votes in the 2024 presidential general election. "Political party or affiliation" will be determined not necessarily by the candidate's affilation on the ballot, but by their public statements and those of their primary affiliated party or group. For example if the Green Party nominee is listed on the ballot as an Independent in all states, they will be recognized as the Green Party candidate and not an Independent. I will also take comments into account for my discretionary decisions. I reserve the right to split off additional affiliations from the Other category, though I have done my best to include all even slightly feasible contenders. Write-in votes will be counted in states that individually tally them, such as Vermont. Market will resolve n/a in the event of a tie as of the date of closure. The source for resolution will be each state's Board of Elections no later than December 1st, 2024, more likely earlier if the third place finisher has a large amount of cushion between second and fourth places.
