Resolution Criteria
This market resolves based on developments in the Lindsay Clancy criminal case through the end of September 29, 2026.
A new trial is scheduled | Resolves to this option if a Massachusetts court officially sets a date for a retrial of Lindsay Clancy.
A plea deal is announced | Resolves to this option if prosecutors and the defense officially announce or confirm a plea agreement that would resolve the criminal charges without a retrial.
The case ends without a new trial | Resolves to this option if the charges are dismissed, prosecutors formally decline to pursue the case further, or the court issues a ruling that ends the prosecution without a retrial.
None of the above by September 29 | Resolves to this option if none of the three outcomes above has occurred by 11:59 PM ET on September 29, 2026.
If more than one qualifying development occurs, the market resolves to the outcome that occurred first, based on official court records or reliable contemporaneous reporting.
Primary resolution sources will be official Massachusetts court records and statements from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. Major reputable news organizations may be used as secondary sources.
The market is intentionally scheduled to close before the expected key court proceeding, allowing traders a reasonable forecasting window and helping ensure that bets reflect genuine predictions rather than information emerging immediately before the outcome.
