Mathieu van der Poel crashed out of the UCI MTB WC 2023 and the Olympic MTB race 2021 with quit a big injury. MvdP is one of the most successful road bike and cyclocross racers. His team Alpecin-Deceuninck should have an intrest in him staying healthy for more prominent races.
