Resolves to the first game actually released. Will use Japan as the reference country if there is confusion about release dates internationally.

For the subjective answers, I will try to gauge internet consensus and will use my best judgement. I do not bet in markets I create.

Will resolve to the closest answer, I.e. if a new game is released which features a dark gothic environment with a mix of guns, whips, etc. and most people deem it to be closest to Bloodborne, it will resolve to “New Bloodborne” if it has Bloodborne in the title but to “Spiritual successor” if it does not (see Demon’s Souls -> Dark Souls). With the general genre options for new IP, I will judge it based on the general genre of the setting and aesthetic, arguably Elden Ring has sci-fi elements but overall the genre is dark fantasy.

Remasters do not count (and are usually done by other companies) but a full remake by FromSoftware themselves can count (if they themselves remake the original King’s Field for example, we’d expect a lot more changes than just redone graphics). DLC does not count.
