Resolved
YES

This market resolves YES, if before the resolution deadline, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), secures a contract with any entity that outlines terms for how AI technology trained on the voices of voice actors belonging to their union should proceed.

For the purpose of clarity "nobody is allowed to use AI technology trained on the voices of our union's voice actors, ever" counts. So does "you must pay such and such royalties and/or fees, and abide by such and such restrictions."

Why does the union have this right? Shouldn’t my consent expire after death?

Believe it or not, protection of your likeness is very limited after death. Even in those states that have a postmortem right of publicity, like California, there is limited protection in the case of creative works like movies. This deal actually creates new post-mortem protections for your likeness and voice that you otherwise may not have. It is not intended to give the union new rights, rather, it’s a new way for the union to protect your rights.
