Johnson is just 51 years old, and already speaker of the house! Can he rise yet further?

For the purposes of this market I am (somewhat arbitrarily, I will admit) defining a higher status than Speaker of The House as:

  • The President

  • The Vice President

  • A major party Presidential Nominee

  • A major party Vice Presidential Nominee

  • The Senate Majority Leader

  • A Supreme Court Justice

  • Potentially some newly invented position of high power added to the US political system in the coming decades.

This is a somewhat arbitrary list, the Speaker does have more power than many of these positions but it's also a notoriously terrible job to have with a lot of turn-over, especially lately.

The options listed above will resolve to NO on January 1st of the relevant year if Johnson has not gained one of the titles above. If he does gain one of these titles, all remaining options will resolve to Yes.

If there is enough interest in this market, I will add additional years as options.

Fun fact. I just read ‘unhinged’ instead of ‘unlinked’. I wonder why.

I admit he's a bit of a long shot for any of these jobs 😅
