A reasonable prior, but I disagree!
Firstly, ChatGPT is so dominant in the space that it's almost a generic at this point, I don't think it would be seen as endorsing the brand.
Secondly, there just haven't been that many opportunities for brands to win! They went with "the computer" before, and I think that was just obviously the right way to phrase that choice. Saying "Artificial Intelligence" without specification is too broad though, it includes all kinds of AI tech when clearly the POTY was in fact ChatGPT specifically if we accept that AIs can qualify.
Thirdly, and somewhat facetiously, I'll say that Elon is at least as much a Brand as he is a human and he won.
