Jenny Chase from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) projected (in Feb 2024) that 627 gigawatts (GW) of solar will be installed worldwide in 2025. How much will actually be installed?
BNEF will be the data source for consistency; if it's not available I'll use a credible source that closely aligns with the historical data below (e.g. 444 GW in 2023, 252 GW in 2022).

This is technically a forecast from a report written up by Bloomberg news in December. But not sure what the relevant publication schedule is for the first non-forecast number for 2025 solar. I don't think it's going to move outside the second bucket. I will resolve and un-resolve if they publish a substantially different number for 2025.
"647 GW of solar capacity was added globally in 2025"

Not the right source but suggestive?
